Our class style is learning in a small group setting where activities are interspersed so that skills are constantly being tested. Research studies have shown that the BEST way to learn is to use the ability of recall consistently. Research studies also suggest that students learn better and retain more when they are in a social environment. It makes sense and that’s how we model our classes. The supportive environment with peers around makes learning more fun too as music is truly a shared experience. Additionally, our special Scaling Up Achievement program makes learning even more rewarding with the use of small, measurable goals so that students will truly feel accomplished. Learn Piano

Learn piano…YES YOU CAN! Anyone can be taught music theory and how to play piano. Once you learn, it’ll stick with you for the rest of your life. Will you be annoyed when you realize someone is singing off pitch? Maybe- but you’ll be ear trained so you’ll know! Learning piano is made easy by our Piano Lab program and there’s room to grow whether you’ll be placed in our Primer classes, Advanced Beginner classes, or Intermediate classes. You won’t be alone. There are other people who want to learn piano as well, young and old! Don’t be discouraged because you think it’s “too late”. It’s never too late to learn how to create beautiful sounds at the tip of your fingertips.  

Piano Teachers

Piano Lab founder Marilyn O’Leary has over 20 years of experience teaching piano and has a minor in piano performance. As a lead singer for over 15 years, she really knows her stuff! With such well rounded teachers, piano won’t be the only thing you’ll take away from Piano Lab. You’ll be able to get tips and tricks of how to overcome stage fright, ear training, and more! Our philosophy is that music is a wholesome experience to be shared by all. Once you’ve mastered the foundations of music theory, you’ll be sure to easily pick up other instruments or even sing better!  

Piano Lessons for Kids

  Here at Piano Lab, you won’t just be sending your budding pianist to class- you’ll be updated on how your little one is performing too! As a parent herself, Marilyn knows how much you care about your young artist and regularly posts progress reports so that you can see how they’re growing! These progress reports will include encouraging words as well as tips on how students can improve outside of the classroom setting. Marilyn and her team are amazing when teaching young students. The atmosphere she creates is so fun that your kids will want to come back for more!   

Online Piano Lessons

  You’ve been looking for “piano classes near me” but the closest class you’ll ever have is in the comfort of your own home! Our online piano lessons are held by video interface where you can still interact with other students and the tutor live. None of the fun is lost and you’ll still be in the same learning environment in a more convenient way. Our class schedules online are super flexible for every level of learning.
