Youth Jam is a high energy community music event where students of all ages and levels come together to play popular songs with supportive teachers, other young musicians, and a LIVE BAND.
Students may explore songs like Golden, the Minecraft Theme Song, blues jams, and more with parts ranging from very simple beginner patterns to fuller chord and melody arrangements.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does my student need to have any experience?
Nope! While some participants will have prepared for the event, we will have simple parts that even our youngest (3.5 year old) students can play and teachers on standby to help along the way!
Do we need to register in advance?
We would LOVE for you to RSVP so that we can better plan the event. That said, it is a drop in event and all are welcome!
Is there a cost?
This is a FREE event. We will have opportunities for guests to contribute to our Youth Jam fund as well as our Piano Lab Scholarship fund but contributions are completely optional.
Do we have to attend Piano Lab?
No, this is a community event. We are excited to meet new families and friends and just have a fun afternoon!
Are siblings welcome?
Yes! Our Youth Jam venue opens right onto a playground so families will have space for move around and chase little ones as needed.
