I just wanted to say WOW!
I just wanted to say ‘WOW!’. You continue ‘grabbing the bull by the horns’, using your creativity and passion, keeping the kids and families engaged and focused on enjoying piano and the much anticipated recital. Kudos to you and your team for making it happen. We LOVE your approach and support you on your brilliant decision/approach. Thanks for all you do.Ā ā„ Isabel^2,Ā Isaac & Jay (& Astro!)

We are Incredibly Excited!
Oliver (and we) are incredibly excited! Oliver seemed to think piano class was every day, and was sorely disappointed when discovered itās only one time a week.Ā –Ā Sally
Want to become a Piano Lab Family?
Any Questions?
Is my child the right age for Piano Lab?
Weāve taught over a thousand students ranging from 4 to 14.
What if my child says they donāt want to take piano lessons?
I love to talk to families that may be conflicted on the topic of piano lessons.
Ā
There are lots of reasons kids say they donāt like piano lessons (or broccoli).
Ā
We could tell you how our lessons feel more like recess than traditional piano lessons.
Ā
We could also tell you all the benefits and unfair advantages kids who take piano have for the rest of their lives.
Ā
It comes down to figuring out what is right for your family. We like to do that on a 1-on-1 call. If we decide together that itās worth a shot, weāll invite your child to a demo class so they can see if Piano Lab changes their mind.
How are lessons structured?
Piano Labās classes are unlike any other weāve ever seen.
Ā
We meet once a week, and have classes up to 8 students, each at their own piano.
Ā
From there, we divide class time into 3 sections, traditional piano lessons, then interactive drills to learn the theory, then we end in game time where students are up out of their seats playing together with a musical theme. Nerf guns and card games have been known to make an appearance.
What if we miss a class?
All of our students at Piano Lab have access to our song by song video library.
Ā
We also have weekly office hours where students can login to zoom for 1-on-1 coaching.
Weāre busy! Do you have a class that fits our schedule?
With over 25 weekly classes running after school and on weekends, there is always a class available for every studentās schedule and level.
Ā
We also have online classes available for students who prefer to take lessons from home.
How long is the commitment?
We try to make learning the piano easy and accessible for every family so Piano Labās official commitment is month to month – families can cancel anytime with 30 days notice.
Ā
Truthfully, we want new students to stay for at least 4 months to give piano a fair shot. There are several phases where students get inspired around piano. For some it is on that first class and learning with new friends. For others, it take a few weeks to a few months until they get to a song they love. For some others still, it can be when they get to perform at one of our 2 showcases a year and see their family cheering them on.
Ā
Our most enthusiastic and successful students say they knew music would be a long-term part of their life by month 4.
How much does it cost?
Monthly tuition is $149 a month.
Ā
We have sibling discounts and some partial and full scholarships available to qualifying families.
